Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ares Mars (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raydric Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mars keeps the fight on the outside.
Long tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mars swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Mars closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Mars jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Long walks away with a smile on his face. Mars gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Long moves into the clinch.
Mars is pressed up against the cage. Long has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mars down to the mat. Mars avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Mars makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Long really felt that one!

Raydric Long seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
