The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Samson looks for the body kick but Lopez saw that one coming.

Samson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lopez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Samson was covering up waiting for the punch and Lopez finishes the takedown easily into guard.

and Lopez counters with a single leg into guard. Samson didn't expect that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brock Samson will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Lopez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Samson finds it's way round the side to connect with Lopez's head.

Samson lands with a right and another and another! Lopez is in big trouble! Samson lands again and this time it's lights out for Lopez! A quality knockout there for Samson.
