Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between pied face (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Bichard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for face. That snapped Bichard's head back.
It looks like Kai Bichard has been cut.
Bichard fails with a takedown attempt.

face throws a leg kick but Bichard checks it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Bichard seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
face knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bichard on the ground.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bichard closes the distance and clinches up with face, looking for a takedown. Bichard pushes face against the cage but face circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from face lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bichard has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bichard and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Bichard shoots in for a double leg but face sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bichard shoots in looking for a takedown. face tries to sprawl out of it but Bichard keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. face manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

face is squirming around, avoiding Bichard's attempts to control the action.

face tries to lock up and control but Bichard gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Bichard is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But face has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from face!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
face has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bichard is proving hard to escape from.

Bichard wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Bichard takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Kai Bichard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bichard doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

That was a close second round but I would say that pied face will probably get the nod.

Some bone on bone action there as face checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The fighters circling - face throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bichard throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Bichard seems to have recovered his senses.
Bichard gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and face connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
face walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Bichard drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! face swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Bichard's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). pied face!
