Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johny Brawo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patryck Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brawo's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Toony - Los (Feat. Pih & Fabuła) . Johny Brawo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brawo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mendes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brawo somewhat.
Brawo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Mendes closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Brawo is looking for a sweep.
Brawo manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Mendes is pressing down on Brawo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Brawo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mendes is proving hard to escape from.

Mendes is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Brawo is breathing heavily.

Mendes seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Brawo blocks a head kick by Mendes.

Mendes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Brawo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Mendes prevents Brawo from getting back to his feet.
Brawo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Mendes looking to sit in guard and control but Brawo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Brawo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mendes's guard.
Brawo tries to pass to full mount but Mendes defends it.
Brawo is trying to control. Mendes wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Mendes flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mendes is looking for a sweep. Brawo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Brawo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brawo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Mendes is trying to stand up here but Brawo is controlling him well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Brawo wants to clinch up but Mendes keeps it at a distance.

Brawo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brawo lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Brawo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mendes is looking to escape.

Brawo is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Mendes fails to land with a series of punches.
Brawo keeps Mendes at a distance using the push kick.
Brawo lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Brawo trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Mendes is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Mendes wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Brawo.
Mendes tries to hold on but Brawo postures up.

Brawo get's back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Brawo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A slapping leg kick lands for Brawo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mendes crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Brawo - the referee stops the clock and Mendes gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Brawo. Mendes manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Brawo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mendes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Mendes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brawo sprawls well. Brawo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mendes gets slowly back to his feet.

Mendes bucks up and throws Brawo to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well Mendes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
