Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marco Vlay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Moralez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marco Vlay has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marco Vlay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Juan Moralez!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vlay misses with a takedown attempt - Moralez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Vlay looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Moralez wants to get back to his feet.

Vlay looking for a submission but Moralez manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vlay accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Moralez has his feet on Vlay's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Vlay ducks right into an uppercut from Moralez.

Vlay has hold of one of Moralez's legs. Moralez is fighting the takedown attempt but Vlay gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Vlay has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Moralez is proving hard to escape from.

Vlay thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Vlay drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Moralez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vlay has Moralez in his guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Moralez is looking to stand up but Vlay won't let him.
Moralez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Vlay is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Moralez stands up and waves to Vlay to follow him.
Moralez leaves Vlay with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Moralez looks to clinch

and Vlay counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Vlay trying to control the action but Moralez is working from the bottom.
Vlay wants to get back to his feet.

Moralez cracks Vlay with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Vlay drives through and clinches with Moralez against the cage.

Vlay breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Vlay gets to his feet. Moralez looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Vlay counters by moving into the clinch.

Vlay breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Moralez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Vlay throws and elbow that misses. Moralez uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Vlay's guard. Nice move by Moralez!
Moralez trying to stand up but can't free himself from Vlay's guard.

Vlay had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Moralez defends it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Vlay is looking for a triangle here but Moralez uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Moralez stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Moralez wants to clinch but Vlay slips to the side

and Vlay counters with a nice double leg into side control. Moralez won't be happy with that.
Moralez wants to get back to his feet but Vlay drags him back down.

Vlay decides to stand back up. Vlay steps back and let's Moralez get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vlay shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Moralez defends it nicely.
Vlay misses with a head kick.
Moralez tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Moralez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vlay.
Vlay tries to move into range but Moralez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Juan Moralez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Moralez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vlay.
Moralez throws a series of punches but Vlay moves out of range.
Moralez darts in trying to clinch
and Vlay counters with an inside leg kick.
Moralez throws a sloppy head kick and Vlay moves out of range easily.
Moralez throws a right and a left that both miss.
Moralez closes the distance but Vlay moves to the side

and Vlay decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Moralez's guard.
Vlay throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Moralez works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Vlay passes Moralez's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Vlay is trying to control the action in half guard but Moralez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Vlay is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Moralez is trying to escape back to his feet but Vlay uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Vlay looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Vlay postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Moralez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Vlay, into his guard.

and Vlay counters with a shoot takedown. Moralez fights it but they end up in guard.
Vlay wants to control from the top but Moralez keeps moving.

Vlay has gone for a leg lock! Moralez slips out almost immediately though and dives into Vlay's guard.

Moralez looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Moralez stands and steps away. Vlay gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Vlay counters with a slapping leg kick.

Moralez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Moralez wants it to stay on the feet.

Moralez finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Vlay has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Moralez is trying to keep an underhook but Vlay manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Vlay is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Moralez is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Vlay, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
