Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Coolio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Forrest Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Forrest Griffin! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Coolio has his hands clasped together around Griffin's back. He's all about the action. Griffin tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Coolio is trying to stand back up but Griffin is controlling him
Coolio controlling the position well. Coolio is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Griffin is looking to take a break and control but Coolio is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coolio is trying to stand.
Coolio makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Coolio. Griffin postures up.
Coolio is pulling down on Griffin's head to control his posture. Griffin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Griffin trying to control the position from guard on top but Coolio is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Coolio is looking to stand up but Griffin isn't so interested in that idea. Griffin trying to control but Coolio is working from the bottom. Coolio looking to control.
Griffin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Coolio is keeping the position for now. Griffin wants to get up but he can't break Coolio's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Coolio throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Griffin would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Coolio keeping moving, preventing Griffin from controlling successfully. Griffin looks gassed! Coolio looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Griffin wants to control from the top but Coolio keeps moving. Griffin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Griffin stopping the sweep attempt from Coolio. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Coolio lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Griffin! Coolio is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Griffin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Coolio punching from mount but Griffin doing a good job of avoiding damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Griffin rushes Coolio and presses him up against the cage. Coolio tries to break free but Griffin pushes him back against the cage. Griffin successfully pulls guard.
Coolio is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Coolio trying to control the position from guard on top but Griffin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Griffin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coolio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Griffin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Coolio doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Coolio manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Griffin is working an open guard so Coolio takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Griffin is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coolio shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Griffin is trying to defend but Coolio finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Coolio slows the pace down in half guard. Coolio moves nicely into side control. Griffin gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Coolio unloads with some shots from mount but Griffin bucks and avoids them well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coolio controlling the pace for now. Coolio will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Griffin avoids a series of strikes thrown by Coolio.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Coolio thowing shots but they're missing. Coolio looking to control and managing it successfully. Coolio's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Griffin can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee stands the fighters back up. James Coolio just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Coolio misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Coolio dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Coolio feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Coolio sitting in guard here, content to control. Coolio won't allow Griffin to sweep him here. Coolio decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Coolio feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Coolio with a flurry of punches that miss. Griffin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Coolio sitting in guard, not really doing much. Coolio has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coolio trying to control the position from guard on top but Griffin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Coolio stands up from Griffin's guard - Coolio perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Coolio misses with a takedown and Griffin counters with a single leg into guard. Coolio didn't expect that. Coolio striking from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Coolio manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Griffin tries to lock up and control but Coolio gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Coolio tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coolio working for a guillotine from mount but Griffin is in no mood to give up. Coolio controlling the position easily from mount.

And that's the end of the fight! James Coolio showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Coolio, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
