Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jethro Walrustitty! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dwayne Johnson! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walrustitty tries a head kick but it misses.
Johnson scores a takedown into full mount! Johnson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson throws some wild stikes that Walrustitty manages to avoid easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Walrustitty is trying to escape the mount.
Johnson throwing strikes here but Walrustitty is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Johnson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Walrustitty's face.

Johnson with shots to the head and body - Walrustitty looks very uncomfortable down there. Walrustitty might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnson cracks Walrustitty with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Walrustitty because Johnson loaded up on that one. Johnson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Johnson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Johnson punching from mount but Walrustitty doing a good job of avoiding damage. Johnson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Walrustitty can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Johnson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Johnson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Walrustitty works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Walrustitty is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Johnson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Johnson throws a strike but Walrustitty rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Walrustitty trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Johnson walks forward, straight into a front kick from Walrustitty. Johnson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Walrustitty throws a head kick that Johnson semi-blocks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A head kick from Walrustitty lands but Johnson takes it in his stride. Walrustitty feints and then cracks Johnson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Johnson down. Johnson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Walrustitty is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Walrustitty is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Johnson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson misses with a head shot. Walrustitty uses the momentum to regain guard. Johnson is looking to work some ground and pound but Walrustitty has wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dwayne Johnson dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Walrustitty throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Johnson's head. Johnson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Johnson showed some decent athleticism there. Johnson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Walrustitty moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Johnson is looking to work some ground and pound but Walrustitty has wrist control. Walrustitty trying to control the position.
Johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Walrustitty has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnson has managed to get both his arms back between Walrustitty's legs - danger averted. Walrustitty lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Johnson! Walrustitty can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Johnson is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walrustitty working for a guillotine from mount but Johnson is in no mood to give up. Johnson prevents Walrustitty from taking his back. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. You get the feeling that Johnson really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Walrustitty trying to control but he's not successful this time. Walrustitty forces the positional change into back control. Johnson is trying to stand back up. Will Walrustitty go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walrustitty. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Walrustitty has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Walrustitty trying to control momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Johnson prevents Walrustitty from getting a body triangle. Walrustitty is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Johnson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Johnson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jethro Walrustitty has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dwayne Johnson.

Nice work. Walrustitty trying to mount his opponent but Johnson defends it. Walrustitty wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walrustitty is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Johnson! Walrustitty jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Johnson manages to avoid the submission attempt. Walrustitty tries for a kimura but Johnson is defending well. Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walrustitty is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Johnson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Walrustitty working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Walrustitty wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walrustitty has an Americana. Johnson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Walrustitty is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Walrustitty hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
