Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Parp Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parp Cannon comes into the arena with Nile - Sacrifice Unto Sebek blaring out of the sound system. DJ Williams will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parp Cannon takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Daniel Parp Cannon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parp Cannon tries to clinch but Williams is having none of it. Williams ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Parp Cannon moves away. Williams closes this distance looking for a takedown but Parp Cannon circles away. Nice defenses there by Parp Cannon. Parp Cannon fails in his attempt to clinch. A left and a right from Williams both land. Nice combination. Parp Cannon throws a right hand that Williams ducks under and follows up with a left that Williams also avoids with ease. Williams changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Parp Cannon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Parp Cannon defending against the ground and pound. Parp Cannon is not content to let Williams control the position. Williams working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Williams working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Williams throwing shots but missing, from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parp Cannon is not content to let Williams control the position. Parp Cannon struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Williams closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Parp Cannon sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Parp Cannon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Williams missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Parp Cannon actively working from the bottom here. Williams controlling the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Williams missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Williams trying to control the action but Parp Cannon is working from the bottom. Williams is looking to stall here but Parp Cannon recovers full guard. Williams must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Parp Cannon throws a front kick aimed at Williams's knee but Williams avoids it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Williams lands with an uppercut that bounces Parp Cannon off the cage and back into rage. Williams punishes Parp Cannon's body with a nice straight punch. Parp Cannon scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Williams scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Williams avoids the body shot from Parp Cannon.

Parp Cannon connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Parp Cannon looks for the body kick but Williams saw that one coming. Parp Cannon throws a lazy right hand but Williams sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
DJ Williams dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Williams shoots for a takedown but Parp Cannon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Williams moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Williams fails to land the takedown. Williams misses with a wild body shot. Williams lands a right hook to the body.
Williams throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Parp Cannon was covering up waiting for the punch and Williams finishes the takedown easily into guard. Parp Cannon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Williams is not content to let Parp Cannon control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams desperately trying to maintain half guard. Parp Cannon is thwarting Williams's attempts to control the position. Williams manages to get to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Williams wants to sweep here but Parp Cannon controlling him for the moment. Parp Cannon passes into half guard. Williams trying to control here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Parp Cannon is working away from the top position though. Parp Cannon wants to free his trapped foot but Williams is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A kick lands to the mid section there for Parp Cannon. Daniel Parp Cannon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Parp Cannon fails to land with a series of punches.
Parp Cannon throws a nice outside leg kick. Williams is breathing heavily. Parp Cannon showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Williams.

It looks like DJ Williams has been cut. Parp Cannon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Williams counters with a straight right hand. Parp Cannon misses with a takedown and Williams counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Parp Cannon looks to clinch and Williams counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Williams content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Williams loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Williams showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Parp Cannon manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Parp Cannon throwing strikes here but Williams is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

DJ Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on DJ Williams's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
A right-left combo lands from Williams. Williams with a body punch. A glancing blow. Parp Cannon throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Williams throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Parp Cannon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Parp Cannon throws a leg kick but Williams sees it coming and checks it nicely. Williams thows a body shot but no joy. Good exchange - Williams coming out on top. Jab, jab by Williams - just one landing. Parp Cannon takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Williams misses with a wild body shot. Parp Cannon throws the left hand but Williams avoids the punch easily. Williams feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Williams throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Williams missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams wants to control from the top but Parp Cannon keeps moving. Williams is stalling in the full guard. Williams throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Parp Cannon works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Parp Cannon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Parp Cannon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Williams pushing down on Parp Cannon's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Parp Cannon wants to control but Williams is keeping busy and won't allow it. Williams wants to pass the guard but Parp Cannon is defending well. Parp Cannon keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Williams takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams missing with the ground and pound from half guard. DJ Williams has got the better of the ground game so far. Parp Cannon is looking for a sweep. Williams is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Williams lands with a punch from half guard. Parp Cannon makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Parp Cannon. Parp Cannon can't keep his opponent in guard - Williams advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Williams is taking a breather. Parp Cannon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parp Cannon on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Daniel Parp Cannon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Williams slips a nice elbow through Parp Cannon's hands, connecting with Parp Cannon's forehead. Williams with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Parp Cannon looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! DJ Williams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Williams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
