Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Gregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Shephard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrei Gregor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jack Shephard! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, David Schapiro and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gregor defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Shephard. Shephard lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gregor circles away quickly and effectively. Gregor misses with a straight left. Shephard shoots in for a takedown but Gregor shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Gregor tries to clinch up but Shephard circles away and keeps his distance. Shephard on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Gregor displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Shephard. Andrei Gregor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Shephard. Gregor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shephard circles away. Shephard stuffs the takedown attempt from Gregor. Gregor gets slowly back to his feet. Jack Shephard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gregor showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Shephard.
Gregor gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Shephard working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Gregor tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Shephard lands a couple of elbows. Shephard has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Gregor working a defensive guard here.
Gregor is looking to stand up but Shephard isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shephard tries to free his leg and advance position but Gregor is retaining full guard. Gregor keeping moving, preventing Shephard from controlling successfully.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A head kick misses from Gregor. Gregor gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Shephard fails to land with a series of punches.
Shephard ducks under a wild hook from Gregor. Gregor's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Gregor duly obliges.
It looks like Jack Shephard has been cut. Shephard shoots in and bounces Gregor off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shephard accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gregor looking to control.
Shephard throws a big right hand that misses. Shephard trying to control the position from guard on top but Gregor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gregor trying to keep a closed guard but Shephard is proving a slippery customer.
Shephard trying to control but Gregor is working from the bottom. Shephard preventing the sweep. Gregor is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gregor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shephard on the ground.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. No joy there for Shephard, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shephard takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Gregor is breathing heavily. Gregor leaves Shephard with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Shephard shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Shephard was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Shephard punching from mount but Gregor doing a good job of avoiding damage. Shephard landing strikes, looking to finish! Gregor is trying desperately to improve position. Shephard sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Shephard cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Poor strikes thrown by Shephard there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Gregor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Gregor is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gregor tries to hold on but Shephard pushes him away. Shephard thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Gregor is rocked! Shephard lands a big shot to the head and Gregor winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
