Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Martin Matchmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Javier Vega will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matchmann tries to bum rush Vega with a series of wild strikes but Vega uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Matchmann shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vega's guard.
Matchmann might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Vega looking for a guillotine here but Matchmann defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vega had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Matchmann is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Vega Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Matchmann's back instead.
