Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott comes into the arena with Massive Attack - One thought at a time blaring out of the sound system. Fernandez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Fire Cadenza. Pedro Fernandez will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 4 - 2, fighting out of New York, James Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pedro Fernandez!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Dean Styles and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez misses with a hook.
Fernandez getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Fernandez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Scott manages to avoid it.
Scott shoots for a takedown but Fernandez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Scott moves out of range of the strikes.
Scott avoids the body shot from Fernandez.
Fernandez loads up on a big right hand but Scott slips the punch.
Scott takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Fernandez connects with a body shot.
Fernandez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Scott is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fernandez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Scott was well out of range. Poor timing from Fernandez.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Fernandez lands a left and a right that send Scott crashing to the mat, dazed. Fernandez thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Scott is rocked!
Scott takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Oh Scott is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Scott uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fernandez.
Fernandez swings for the body but Scott moves out of range.
Fernandez lands a body shot.
Scott seems to have got his legs back now.
Fernandez misses the shot to the body.
Fernandez drops Scott with a beautiful combination! Scott stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Fernandez is looking for the KO!
Fernandez steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Scott is out on his feet! Fernandez sets himself and nearly takes Scott's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Pedro Fernandez!
