The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
zooka shoots for a double leg takedown but Contel sprawls well. He's pushed zooka's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
zooka avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ba zooka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Contel moves into the clinch successfully.

zooka really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Contel shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in zooka's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Ba zooka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xzavier Contel.

Well Contel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
