3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Big Bastich! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bastich closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Starr to the mat! Starr manages to get full guard. Bastich wants to control from the top but Starr keeps moving. Starr had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bastich defends it easily. Bastich wants to stand but Starr has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Starr escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bastich gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bastich accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Starr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bastich can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
