The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Winnfield throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Wright looks to score with a jab to the body but Winnfield is just out of range.
Winnfield tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wright was well out of range. Poor timing from Winnfield.
Wright misses with an uppercut. Winnfield saw that one coming.
Winnfield punishes Wright's body with a nice straight punch.
Markus Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wright takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Despite being in the dominant position, Markus Wright just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wright doesn't manage to clinch there - Winnfield circles away.
Winnfield fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wright manages to avoid it.
Winnfield gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wright controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Wright's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
I looks like Wright might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Wright throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Winnfield's waist but Winnfield gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wright off to one side.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wright shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Wright uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Winnfield.
Winnfield drops Wright with a beautiful combination! Wright stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Winnfield is looking for the KO!
Wright is rocked!
Wright bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Winnfield comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Wright falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Wright was out before he hit the floor!
