Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Festus Riboloni! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Riboloni does no damage. Alvarado feints and as Riboloni raises his hands in defense, Alvarado changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Alvarado is looking to work some ground and pound but Riboloni has wrist control. Riboloni controls Alvarado momentarily but Alvarado frees himself. Alvarado postures up and lands a big shot to Riboloni's brow. Alvarado throws a strike but Riboloni rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Riboloni trying to control but Alvarado is working from the bottom. Alvarado is looking to stand up but Riboloni isn't so interested in that idea. Riboloni passes Alvarado's left leg - he's now in half guard. Riboloni wants to stand up but Alvarado is controlling the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Alvarado tries to move into range but Riboloni moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Riboloni fails to land with a series of punches.
Riboloni misses with a takedown and Alvarado counters with a nice double leg into guard. Riboloni looks gassed! Riboloni controls Alvarado momentarily but Alvarado frees himself. Alvarado has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Riboloni preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Riboloni will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Festus Riboloni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Riboloni misses with a takedown attempt so Alvarado counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Alvarado postures up and lands a big shot to Riboloni's brow. Alvarado throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alvarado trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Alvarado makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Alvarado works over Riboloni with some ground and pound from guard. Riboloni looking for a sweep. Not yet Riboloni, not yet. Alvarado throwing strikes from guard but Riboloni blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Riboloni escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alvarado gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Alvarado throws a big right hand that misses. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Alvarado distracts Riboloni with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rolly Alvarado dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Riboloni tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Riboloni leaves Alvarado with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Riboloni throws a nice looking combination but Alvarado bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Riboloni shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Alvarado counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Riboloni! Alvarado in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Alvarado postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Riboloni looks a forlorn figure.

Riboloni is bucking up trying to escape but Alvarado cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Riboloni really wants to buck Alvarado off and get back to his feet. A nice elbow there by Alvarado.

Alvarado breaks from Riboloni's wrist control and lands an elbow. Riboloni sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Riboloni wants to control but Alvarado is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Alvarado is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Riboloni makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Riboloni. Riboloni is trying to keep Alvarado in close.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that's the end of the fight! Rolly Alvarado showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Alvarado, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
