1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mirko Onopko! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morozov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Onopko did well to prevent Morozov getting side control. Morozov looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Onopko is trying to stand.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Onopko is trying to control the position but Morozov postures up. Onopko looking to hit a scissor sweep but Morozov is one step ahead there. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Morozov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Onopko is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Onopko is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Morozov is controlling him. Onopko is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Onopko scores with a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Onopko lands with a nice combination. Morozov backs away looking to recover. Onopko throws a sloppy head kick and Morozov moves out of range easily. Onopko lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Onopko unloads a knee to the mid-section. Morozov lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Onopko effectively controlling the action here. Onopko drops down looking for an ankle pick but Morozov pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Onopko would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Morozov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Onopko avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Onopko tries to stand but Morozov is controlling from the bottom. Onopko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morozov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Morozov keeping moving, preventing Onopko from controlling successfully. Morozov is looking for a triangle but Onopko pushes his legs off easily.
Onopko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morozov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Onopko looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Onopko trying to control from half guard but Morozov is working away. Morozov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mirko Onopko dominated that round. That's time! Morozov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Morozov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Onopko fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Onopko throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Morozov's head. Onopko drives through and clinches with Morozov against the cage.
Onopko lands an elbow that stopped Morozov in his tracks for a moment. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Onopko. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Morozov tries to pull guard but Onopko won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Onopko jumps guard and drags Morozov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Onopko looking to hit a scissor sweep but Morozov is one step ahead there. Onopko trying to control the position.
Morozov trying to control but Onopko is working from the bottom. Onopko controls Morozov momentarily but Morozov frees himself. Onopko throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Onopko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Onopko scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Morozov is looking for a sweep. Onopko thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Morozov gets back to half guard. Morozov is looking for a sweep. Onopko is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Onopko trying to pass the guard but Morozov defending well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Onopko looking to land some kicks to the body here.

and Onopko counters by moving into the clinch. Onopko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Morozov staggers backwards, shaken. Boris Morozov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Onopko tries to close the distance and clinch but Morozov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Onopko moves in looking to clinch but Morozov pushes him off. Onopko lands a right hook to the body.
Morozov shoots in but no luck this time. Onopko throws a sloppy head kick and Morozov moves out of range easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Onopko throws a nice looking combination but Morozov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Morozov fails to land the takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mirko Onopko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Onopko bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Morozov manages to work his way to half guard, despite Onopko's best efforts. Morozov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Morozov is looking to improve his position.
