Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Hazlett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hazlett comes to the cage accompanied by Unbeaten Joe Hayde. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dustin Hazlett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jesse James! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Lou da Vinci and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James misses with a jab, cross combination.
James slaps away a takedown attempt from Hazlett, before circling back to the center of the mat. James keeps the fight on the outside. James misses with a double jab.
James tries a head kick but it misses.
Hazlett blocks a head kick by James.
James lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. A combination from James does no damage. Hazlett dodges the punch combination from James.
Hazlett tries to clinch there but James circles away.

Hazlett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hazlett shoots in and bounces James off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hazlett missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. James pushes Hazlett off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. James scores with a nice head shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. James tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from James. James loads up on a big right hand but Hazlett slips the punch. Hazlett looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dustin Hazlett. That's going to take a lot out of him. James throws a series of punches but Hazlett avoids them all with ease. James throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hazlett on the side of the head. Hazlett moves out of range of the body kick from James.
Hazlett is trying hard to land a takedown here. James sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. James stalks Hazlett and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hazlett's face. Hazlett staggers backwards, shaken. Hazlett changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. James tries to avoid it but Hazlett manages to keep hold of a leg and drag James to the ground. James escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hazlett is breathing heavily. Hazlett avoids the head kick by James.
James misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from James as Hazlett shoots in. James lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. No joy there for James, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
James lands with a nice combination. Hazlett backs away looking to recover. Hazlett shoots in for a double leg but James sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hazlett has a takedown stuffed. James lands the left hand. James swinging wilding here.
James rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hazlett moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hazlett fails to land the takedown. A head kick misses from James. James lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James lands with a cross. James tries to land a leg kick but Hazlett saw it coming and moves away.

Hazlett shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hazlett wants to lay and pray for a moment but James keeps working. James tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Hazlett manages to move to mount!
James tries to buck Hazlett off so he can stand up but Hazlett has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! James falls backwards, slamming Hazlett to the mat but Hazlett holds on tight! James is forced to tap and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Dustin Hazlett!
