3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Floyd Mayweather Jr! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mayweather Jr misses with a jab, cross combination.
Floyd Mayweather Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mayweather Jr misses with a body shot.
Mayweather Jr lands with a shot to the body. Wilson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mayweather Jr looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wilson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Mayweather Jr to see if he's OK. Wilson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wilson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Mayweather Jr is not content to let Wilson control the position. Mayweather Jr struggling a bit here. Wilson wants to control but Mayweather Jr is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson in side control, throwing shots but Mayweather Jr defends. Wilson throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Mayweather Jr trying to remain calm as Wilson controls from the top position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mayweather Jr displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Mayweather Jr lands a jab-cross combination. Wilson shoots in and drives through. Mayweather Jr sprawls well. Wilson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Wilson is breathing heavily. Mayweather Jr misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mayweather Jr lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Mayweather Jr rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wilson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Mayweather Jr digs a good body shot into Wilson's ribs. Mayweather Jr drops Wilson with a beautiful combination! Wilson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mayweather Jr is looking for the KO!
Wilson is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mayweather Jr connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Wilson to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Mayweather Jr!
