Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Enrico Hygione!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hygione wants to clinch up but Shepherd keeps it at a distance.
Hygione throws a head kick that misses.
Hygione stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hygione wants it to stay on the feet.
Shepherd looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hygione is fending him off so far but Shepherd persists. Nope, Hygione circles away and we're back to standing.
Shepherd closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Shepherd is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hygione knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shepherd decides to stand back up. Shepherd steps back and let's Hygione get back to his feet.
Hygione throws a head kick but Shepherd moves out of range.
Hygione tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Shepherd is able to avoid easily.
Hygione slaps away a takedown attempt from Shepherd, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Shepherd. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hygione shoots and misses
and Shepherd counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Hygione looks gassed!
Hygione is defending against the submission attempts here by Shepherd.
Hygione looks like he's trying to stand up.

Shepherd is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Shepherd has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Hygione defend it? Shepherd steps over the head and cranks it - Hygione is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Shepherd!
