Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sigmund Freud! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Noni Baquar! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Freud looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Freud fails in his attempt to clinch. Sigmund Freud seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Freud wants to clinch up but Baquar keeps it at a distance. Freud fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Baquar, pushing him back against the cage. Freud breaks from the clinch.
Freud tries to close the distance and clinch but Baquar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Freud tries to clinch up but Baquar circles away and keeps his distance. Baquar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Freud is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Baquar looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Baquar looks for a takedown but Freud sprawls well. Sigmund Freud has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Noni Baquar. Freud moves into the clinch successfully.
Freud landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Freud lands a hook that snaps the head of Baquar backwards. Baquar jumps guard but Freud stands there with Baquar around his waist. Baquar gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Freud manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Freud breaks the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Freud tries to close the distance and clinch up but Baquar swats him away and circles back towards the center. Freud throws a sloppy head kick and Baquar moves out of range easily. Freud closes the distance and clinches. Freud lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Freud scores with a knee to the head.
Baquar looks gassed! Freud lands a big knee! That's hurt Baquar! Oh, he's all over the place! Freud lands another knee that sends Baquar to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sigmund Freud!
