Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from hornet.
hornet tries to score a power double leg takedown but brown sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten hornet somewhat.
brown fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
hornet tries to clinch up but brown circles away and keeps his distance.

brown gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows hornet to score an easy takedown into full guard.
brown is breathing heavily.
hornet throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as brown works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
hornet wants to get up but he can't break brown's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
hornet should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
hornet stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.
hornet wants to control from the top but brown keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

brown stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and brown wants it to stay on the feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if hornet can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

hornet shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has brown pinned against the cage. brown gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
charlie brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davis hornet.
No joy there for brown, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
hornet shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts brown as he jumps to the side.

hornet looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? brown is fending him off so far but hornet persists. Nope, brown circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
brown will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

hornet thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on brown if he has to take too many more of those.

hornet is taking a breather. brown says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

brown really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

brown has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. hornet is working away from the top position though.

hornet takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

hornet stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
hornet tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but brown paws at him with a jab and circles away.

hornet feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
brown will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
hornet won't allow brown to sweep him here.
