Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Derek Duggin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Kingswood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duggin comes into the arena with Can't Be Touched blaring out of the sound system. Jordan Kingswood has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Derek Duggin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derek Duggin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jordan Kingswood! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duggin takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Duggin throws a body punch but Kingswood moves out of range. Kingswood tries to score a power double leg takedown but Duggin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kingswood somewhat. A right-left combo lands from Kingswood. Kingswood fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Duggin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Kingswood has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kingswood jumps guard.
Duggin trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kingswood's guard. Kingswood wants to sweep here but Duggin controlling him for the moment. Kingswood is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Duggin is aware though and is defending well. Kingswood is trying to control the position but Duggin postures up. Kingswood looking for a sweep. Not yet Kingswood, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duggin stands and steps away. Kingswood gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Kingswood gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Duggin to score an easy takedown into full guard. Duggin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Duggin sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kingswood's guard. Kingswood tries to roll over but Duggin keeps him under control. Kingswood keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Duggin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Duggin winds up and cracks Kingswood with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duggin stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Kingswood to get to his feet. Kingswood connects with a body shot. Kingswood with a lazy takedown attempt and Duggin counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Kingswood looks gassed! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kingswood kicks Duggin off and gets back to his feet. Duggin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Duggin is working for a kimura but Kingswood is defending it quite comfortably.
Kingswood is pressing down on Duggin's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Duggin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duggin advances position into side control! Duggin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kingswood is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kingswood gets back to half guard. Kingswood wants to get back to full guard. Duggin working the head and body with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duggin is nestled in close to Kingswood, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Kingswood is refusing to be controlled, as Duggin sits in half guard. Duggin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Duggin wants to pass the guard but Kingswood is defending well. Duggin controlling the action here. Duggin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kingswood is just riding it out for now. Duggin eventually gives up the hold. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Duggin drops an elbow to the side of Kingswood's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Derek Duggin dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kingswood clinches but Duggin breaks the clinch and Duggin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kingswood wants to get back to his feet.
Duggin is figuring out what he wants to do next. Duggin stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Kingswood to get to his feet. Kingswood with a poor takedown and Duggin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kingswood! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee warns Kingswood that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
A nice elbow there by Duggin. Kingswood is wriggling around trying to escape.
Duggin looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duggin is standing up, even though he is in mount. Kingswood stuffs the takedown. Duggin shoots in and bounces Kingswood off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Duggin trying to control but Kingswood is working from the bottom. Duggin won't allow Kingswood to get back to his feet. Duggin pushing down on Kingswood's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duggin gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Derek Duggin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight stays on the outside here - Duggin looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kingswood throws a combination that misses and Duggin counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Duggin is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kingswood working a defensive guard but Duggin passes into half guard.
Duggin tries to pass to full mount but Kingswood defends it. Duggin seems to be working for a kimura but Kingswood defends the submission attempt. Kingswood is looking for a sweep. Duggin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duggin wants to pass to mount but Kingswood is defending the position. Duggin missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Duggin seems to be working for a kimura but Kingswood defends the submission attempt. Duggin sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kingswood defending well though. Duggin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kingswood does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Still in half guard, Duggin seems content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Duggin is looking for a kimura but Kingswood is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Duggin to get the leverage. Duggin wants to take a breather but Kingswood is having none of it. Kingswood kicks off Duggin and gets to his feet. Kingswood doesn't succeed with the takedown and Duggin counters with a takedown into side control. Duggin trying to control the action but Kingswood is working from the bottom. Duggin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Duggin tries to move into full mount but can't pass Kingswood's legs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Derek Duggin dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Kingswood misses with a takedown attempt and Duggin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kingswood won't be happy with that. Kingswood tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Duggin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Duggin stands up and we're back to a striking position. Duggin closes the distance and clinches up with Kingswood, looking for a takedown. Duggin pushes Kingswood against the cage but Kingswood circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kingswood tries to clinch but Duggin moves out of range. Kingswood drives through with a takedown into guard. Kingswood wants to control from the top but Duggin keeps moving. Kingswood must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Duggin looking for a sweep. Not yet Duggin, not yet. Duggin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Duggin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kingswood defends it easily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kingswood looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duggin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kingswood! Duggin has isolated one of Kingswood's arms. Kingswood looking to fight him off but Duggin twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
