The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Bruno Lombardi and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuentes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sesnak circles away quickly and effectively.
Fuentes drives through with a takedown into guard.

Sesnak escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fuentes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

What can Fuentes do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Sesnak is trying to stick to Fuentes's back but Fuentes is turning into Sesnak. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Sesnak's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Fuentes.

Fuentes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sesnak takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Sesnak is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Sesnak extends the arm and Fuentes is forced to tap!
