Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Francisco Salvia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Yanez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salvia comes to the cage accompanied by Body Count - Body muthafuckin' count. Francisco Salvia has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Francisco Salvia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Yanez! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yanez is looking to clinch. Salvia feints and as Yanez raises his hands in defense, Salvia changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Yanez keeping moving, preventing Salvia from controlling successfully. Salvia is standing up over Yanez. Yanez looks to escape but Salvia dives into side control.
Salvia prevents Yanez from escaping the position. Yanez is letting Salvia control him for a moment. Salvia seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Yanez for as long as he can get away with. Yanez wants to get back to his feet. Yanez stops Salvia from passing to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yanez is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Salvia is staying tight to Yanez's torso, preventing him from escaping. Salvia working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yanez is trying to buck Salvia off. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salvia tries to move into full mount but can't pass Yanez's legs. Salvia looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Yanez is trying to buck Salvia off. Yanez stops Salvia from passing to mount. Salvia trying to control the action but Yanez is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvia tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Salvia has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Salvia tries to advance to mount but can't. Salvia is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Yanez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Salvia advances nicely into full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yanez wants to try and get back to his feet. Salvia takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Yanez is squirming around, avoiding Salvia's attempts to control the action. Salvia swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Yanez is now in Salvia's guard. A big mistake from Salvia there, giving up the dominant position! Salvia controls Yanez momentarily but Yanez frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Francisco Salvia dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Yanez looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Yanez doesn't manage to clinch there - Salvia circles away.
A clash of legs there as Yanez blocks the low kick. Yanez tries to clinch but Salvia moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvia misses with a head kick.
A head kick misses from Yanez. Salvia shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yanez as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salvia wants to slow Yanez down by chopping away at his legs. A head kick misses from Salvia. Yanez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Yanez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Salvia is looking to control Yanez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Salvia avoid being mounted? Salvia manages to get to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Salvia can't keep his opponent in guard - Yanez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Salvia moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Salvia is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Yanez looking to sit in guard and control but Salvia gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Yanez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Salvia is controlling him. Yanez is breathing heavily. Yanez keeping moving, preventing Salvia from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvia stands and throws Yanez's legs to the side, diving into side control. Salvia in side control, just content to control the action for now. Salvia is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Yanez has escaped the position, nice work there. Salvia is looking to take a break and control but Yanez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Salvia looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Yanez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Salvia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Yanez prevents Salvia from improving position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Yanez gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Francisco Salvia dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Salvia shoots in for a takedown but Yanez shows good takedown defense. Yanez tries to clinch up. Salvia misses with a body kick. Yanez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Salvia moves into the clinch successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round. Yanez is looking to escape. Yanez is staying active underneath Salvia, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Salvia perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Salvia is working for a kimura but Yanez is defending it quite comfortably.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Yanez looks like he's trying to stand up.
Salvia is figuring out what he wants to do next. Salvia wants to control but Yanez is keeping him busy. Salvia is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Yanez is not content to let Salvia control the position.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Francisco Salvia just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Yanez moves out of range of the body kick. Some bone on bone action there as Yanez checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Yanez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Yanez wants it to stay on the feet. Yanez tries to clinch but Salvia is having none of it. Salvia fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Yanez manages to avoid it. Salvia tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Yanez was well out of range. Poor timing from Salvia.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Salvia tries a head kick but it misses.
Yanez misses with a takedown and Salvia counters with a single leg into guard. Yanez didn't expect that. Yanez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Salvia passes Yanez's left leg - he's now in half guard. Salvia is trying to control the action in half guard but Yanez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Francisco Salvia is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Salvia content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
And that's the end of the fight! Francisco Salvia showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Salvia, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
