Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danny Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Piper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piper swats away the attempt to clinch by Gray.
Gray darts in and clinches Piper up against the cage.
Gray is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Piper is defending well for now.
Gray tries to pull guard but Piper won't allow it.
Gray trying to land knees to the body.
Piper can't break the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Gray scores with a nice short uppercut.
Gray jumps guard but Piper stands there with Gray around his waist. Gray gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Piper lands a shot to the body.
Piper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gray tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Piper swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Gray. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gray is looking to clinch.
Piper closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gray to the mat! Gray manages to get full guard.
Piper is posturing up here but Gray has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Piper tries to roll out but it's too tight and Piper has to tap! Slick submission there by Gray!
