Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between JD Kom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Markus Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kom checks a leg kick.
Gracie throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kom keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kom throws a head kick but Gracie moves out of range.
Gracie fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kom looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kom as he jumps to the side.
Kom tries to clinch there but Gracie circles away.
Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Kom.
Gracie feints and as Kom raises his hands in defense, Gracie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kom is pulling down on Gracie's head. It's preventing any offense from Gracie, at least for the moment.
Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kom is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard.
Kom stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kom postures up and lands a big shot to Gracie's brow.
Kom thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Gracie working for a triangle but Kom defends it easily.
Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kom stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kom can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kom wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.

Kom looking to sit in guard and control but Gracie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kom is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard.
Kom slips nicely into half guard.
Kom is looking to advance position but Gracie won't allow it.
Gracie actively working from the bottom here.
Gracie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kom pulls his head out easily.
Gracie looks gassed!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kom is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Kom jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gracie manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Kom grinds an elbow into Gracie's temple.
Gracie manages to get back to half guard.
Gracie won't allow Kom to pass to mount.
Gracie looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Markus Gracie will probably get the nod.

A head kick by Gracie misses
and Kom counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Kom is trying to control. Gracie wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Gracie is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kom scores with a couple of nice shots.
Gracie actively working from the bottom here.
Kom is working for a submission of some sort.
Kom wants to advance to full mount but Gracie doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kom is aware though and is defending well.

Kom postures up in Gracie's guard and throws a big left but Gracie blocks it.
Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kom gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kom thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kom content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Gracie is looking for a triangle but Kom pushes his legs off easily.
Kom trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kom thows a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie keeping full guard, as Kom tries to pass.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gracie wants to sweep but no luck.
Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kom doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kom manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kom advances position into side control!

Gracie is looking for a sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that JD Kom will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Kom wants to clinch.
Kom is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gracie misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gracie with a poor takedown
and Kom counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gracie's guard now.
JD Kom overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kom can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kom is really struggling to control Gracie but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kom got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kom has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.
Kom stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kom wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy.
Gracie tries to get to full guard but Kom has control of the leg.
Kom throws a strike but Gracie avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Kom drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gracie manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kom has Gracie in his guard.

Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Kom slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard.
Kom throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gracie works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kom drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gracie dives on top into guard.
Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kom looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Kom is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kom manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Kom's guard.
Kom is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kom is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well Kom has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
