Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drake Combs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Swagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Combs drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Combs stands up and we're back to a striking position. Combs gets a takedown into half guard. Swagger is looking to improve his position.
Combs stands up out of the half guard. Swagger avoids the head kick by Combs.
Combs closes the distance and clinches. Combs prevents Swagger from breaking the clinch. Combs blocks a body shot from Swagger. Combs trying to land knees to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swagger tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Combs just stands there and leans against the cage. Combs pulls guard successfully.
Combs tries to land a sweep but no joy. Combs is looking to stand up but Swagger isn't so interested in that idea. Swagger postures up.
Swagger is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Combs is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Combs has escaped and now he's on top! Combs wants to control from the top but Swagger keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Swagger is working an open guard so Combs takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Combs feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Combs gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Combs misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Swagger with a poor takedown and Combs counters with a nice double leg into guard. Swagger striking off his back. Swagger keeping full guard, as Combs tries to pass. Combs tries to stand but Swagger is controlling from the bottom. Combs is breathing heavily. Combs postures up.
Combs has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Combs looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Swagger doesn't succeed with the takedown and Combs counters with a single leg into guard. Swagger didn't expect that. Drake Combs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Swagger. Swagger is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Combs defends well. Combs sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Combs wants to control from the top but Swagger keeps moving. Swagger keeping full guard, as Combs tries to pass. Swagger is looking for a triangle but Combs pushes his legs off easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Swagger is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Drake Combs dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Combs jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Swagger walks away with a smile on his face. Combs gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Combs throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Swagger throws the kick towards the body but Combs avoids it. Combs moves into the clinch. Combs tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Combs wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Combs has clasped his hands together around Swagger's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Swagger is looking to reverse the position. Swagger struggling a bit here. Swagger tries to escape but Combs is in control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Combs trying to control the action but Swagger is working from the bottom. Swagger tries to get back to half guard but can't. Combs is trying to get an arm triangle but Swagger is defending well. Swagger is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Combs off and has taken his back! Swagger throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Combs is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it. Swagger gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Drake Combs overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Swagger is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Combs content to stall in guard here. Combs throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Combs is pushing down on Swagger's leg trying to pass to half guard. Swagger is fighting to maintain full guard but Combs has managed to sneak the leg through. Combs decides to stand and escape the position. Swagger with a lazy takedown attempt and Combs counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Combs. Combs jumps guard but Swagger stands there with Combs around his waist. Combs gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Drake Combs. That's going to take a lot out of him. A frustrated look appears on Combs's face as he tries to break the clinch. Combs wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Combs looking for a takedown. Swagger prevents Combs from breaking the clinch. Swagger has a couple of punches blocked by Combs.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Combs won't allow Swagger to get back to his feet. Swagger thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Swagger is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Combs is stalling in the full guard. Combs's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Swagger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Combs uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Combs closes the distance and pushes Swagger back into the cage. Combs is pressed up against the cage. Swagger has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Combs down to the mat. Combs avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Drake Combs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Swagger. Combs shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Swagger is trying to defend but Combs finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Combs is controlling the pace.
Swagger is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Combs pulls his head out easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Drake Combs showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Combs, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
