The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smash tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Slapajo paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Smash shoots for a takedown but Slapajo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Eulle Slapajo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Smash.
Slapajo looks to throw the jab but Smash is out of range.

Smash has a takedown stuffed.

Smash shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Slapajo defends it nicely.

Smash changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Slapajo tries to avoid it but Smash manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Slapajo to the ground. Slapajo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Slapajo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Slapajo cracks Smash with an open hand slap.


It looks like Sam Smash has been cut.
Slapajo throws a lazy right hand but Smash sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Slapajo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smash manages to avoid it.
Slapajo is looking to wear down Smash with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Horrible takedown by Smash or perhaps it was just good defense by Slapajo which made him look bad.
Smash walks into a jab.

Slapajo looks to score with a jab to the body but Smash is just out of range.
Slapajo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smash moves away.
Slapajo misses with a series of wild punches.
Smash shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Slapajo lands with a shot to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Smash uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Slapajo.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Smash fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Slapajo avoids it really well and circles away.
Slapajo takes a swing at Smash's ribcage but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Smash on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Slapajo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Slapajo wants it to stay on the feet.
Slapajo connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Smash to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Slapajo!
