Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clay Fardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Lind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fardy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is killing in the name of. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clay Fardy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Curtis Lind! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Columbo Gatti and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fardy has a takedown stuffed. Lind dodges the punch combination from Fardy.
Fardy throws a right and a left that both miss. Fardy shoots in and drives through. Lind sprawls well. Lind stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clay Fardy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lind fails in his attempt to clinch. Lind goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Lind keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lind throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Lind slow jab from Fardy misses its intended target. Lind tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fardy swats him away and circles back towards the center. Fardy shoots in and drives through. Lind sprawls well. Lind doesn't manage to clinch there - Fardy circles away.

Fardy looks to land a body kick but Lind moved away. Lind is looking to clinch. Fardy tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fardy shoots in looking for a takedown. Lind tries to sprawl out of it but Fardy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lind manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Lind, right into the meat.
Fardy is breathing heavily. Lind checks a low kick from Fardy. Nice sprawl there from Lind as Fardy shoots in. Lind closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lind lands in his opponent's guard. Fardy keeping moving, preventing Lind from controlling successfully. Lind looking to pass the guard. Lind trying to control the position from guard on top but Fardy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lind looking to pass the guard. Lind must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lind cracks Fardy with a solid left hand. Lind drops back looking for a leg! Fardy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fardy manages to kick Lind off! Lind jumps back into Fardy's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fardy controls Lind momentarily but Lind frees himself. Fardy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lind is one step ahead there.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fardy misses with a takedown and Lind counters with a nice body kick. Lind throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Fardy swinging wilding here.
Lind clinches with his opponent.
Fardy tries to score a body lock takedown but Lind shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Lind pulls guard. Fardy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lind is keeping the position for now. Lind has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fardy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lind looking for a guillotine here but Fardy defends easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fardy wants to control from the top but Lind keeps moving. Fardy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lind looking for a sweep. Not yet Lind, not yet. Lind has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fardy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Fardy throws a big right hand that misses. Lind looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lind tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fardy paws at him with a jab and circles away. Fardy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Lind counters with a good low kick that Fardy was not able to check. Lind doesn't manage to clinch there - Fardy circles away.
Lind closes the distance and clinches. Fardy pulls guard. Lind won't allow Fardy to sweep him here. Lind advances to half guard. Lind has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Lind trying to control but he's not successful this time. Lind working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Fardy turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Lind off and cradles Fardy's limp body as Lind celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Curtis Lind!
