Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobbie Rex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Ritten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bobbie Rex could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Adam Ritten's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobbie Rex! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Ritten! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.

Rex feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ritten has his foot on Rex's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rex works his way back into a safe position though. Rex preventing the sweep. Ritten keeping moving, preventing Rex from controlling successfully. Ritten wants to sweep but no luck. Rex postures up.
Ritten lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rex! Rex is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rex is squirming around, avoiding Ritten's attempts to control the action.

Rex defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ritten. Rex's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Rex is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Ritten looking to ground and pound but Rex is blocking nicely. Ritten lands a big elbow.
Ritten looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Ritten raining down shots from the mount! Rex wants to hold on but Ritten pushes him away.

Ritten moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Rex has worked his arm free - good work by Rex!
Ritten looks gassed! You can see the frustration on Rex's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ritten looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Rex is avoiding damage well.
Ritten wants to take a breather but Rex manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Ritten. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rex is trying to control the position but Ritten postures up.
Rex is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Ritten drops back looking for a leg! Rex is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rex manages to kick Ritten off! Ritten jumps back into Rex's guard. Ritten has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

and Rex counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ritten! Bobbie Rex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Ritten.

Rex wants to finish this one by submission but Ritten is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Rex. Ritten is trying to escape the mount.
Ritten is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Rex controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bobbie Rex dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Ritten tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rex smiles and moves away.
Rex feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ritten's calf. Left hook, right uppercut from Rex.

It looks like Adam Ritten has been cut. Ritten gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Rex counters with a shoot takedown. Ritten fights it but they end up in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rex wants to control from the top but Ritten keeps moving. Rex showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Rex slips nicely into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rex stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Ritten to get to his feet. Ritten stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rex. Ritten with a poor takedown and Rex counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bobbie Rex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Ritten.
Rex shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ritten's guard. Ritten wants to sweep here but Rex controlling him for the moment. Bobbie Rex overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ritten is looking to stand up but Rex isn't so interested in that idea.

Ritten wants to get back to full guard. Ritten pushes Rex off looking to stand but Rex dives back in and keeps control.
Ritten tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Rex has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Ritten tries to control Rex's body but Rex pushes him off. Ritten squirms to his side and now Rex has his back! Rex keeps control of the position as Ritten tries to break free.

Rex working for a choke but Ritten is defending well. Ritten tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Rex manages to capitalize on a mistake by Ritten to take his back! Ritten trying to control the hands but Rex breaks the grip. You can see the frustration on Ritten's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Rex scores with punches and elbows. Ritten rolls, trying to escape but Rex keeps control of the position.
Rex lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Ritten just trying to survive but Rex is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Rex working for a choke but Ritten is defending well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rex is hanging on to Ritten's back as he tries to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bobbie Rex dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Adam Ritten's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Ritten takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Ritten shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Rex counter with a right hand. Rex throws out a leg kick but Ritten moves out of range and Rex only half commits. Ritten misses with a takedown and Rex makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Rex lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Rex looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ritten wants to control but Rex is keeping busy.
Rex seems to be looking for submissions.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ritten wants to control but Rex is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Ritten is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rex stands up over Ritten, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Rex has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Rex preventing the sweep. Some bone on bone action there as Ritten checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Ritten throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rex scores with a body shot.
Bobbie Rex is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ritten with a lazy takedown attempt and Rex counters with a series of strikes. Ritten will be more careful next time no doubt. A combination from Ritten does no damage.
Ritten gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rex won't allow Ritten to get back to his feet.

Adam Ritten has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bobbie Rex is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. And that's the end of the fight! Bobbie Rex showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rex, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
