The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rage shoots in but no luck this time.
Rage closes this distance looking for a takedown but Malik circles away.
Malik fails with an attempt to clinch.
Malik closes the distance and pushes Rage back into the cage.
Malik breaks the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Malik looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Malik avoids the head kick by Rage.
Malik clinches up against the cage.
Malik breaks the clinch.
Rage tries to keep at a distance but Malik has taken the fight into the clinch.
Rage digs a right hand underneath Malik's ribcage. Malik let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Malik breaks the clinch.
Malik misses with a head kick.
Rage shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rage lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rage sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Malik defending well though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rage gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Malik lands a big head kick that sends Rage tumbling to the mat! Malik takes a step backwards and waves Rage back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Rage is rocked!
It looks like Trevor Rage has been cut.
Malik feints a jab and as Rage dips his head, Malik unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Rage right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Rage falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Malik smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Waleed Malik!
