Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between UBC Tan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Scraps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, UBC Tan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Scraps! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tan misses with a wild combination.
UBC Tan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Scraps on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. A head kick misses from Scraps. Tan goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Tan digs a good hook to Scraps's body.
Scraps ducks right into an uppercut from Tan. No luck for Scraps with that takedown attempt. Tan tries to land a front kick but Scraps steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Tan throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tan tries to bum rush Scraps with a series of wild strikes but Scraps uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Scraps moves into the clinch. Scraps jumps guard but Tan stands there with Scraps around his waist. Scraps gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Scraps is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. UBC Tan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Scraps. Tan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Tan is trying to force a seperation but Scraps has the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scraps pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Scraps is looking to clinch. Tan scores with a jab to the body. Scraps drives through and clinches with Tan against the cage.
Scraps breaks the clinch.
Tan lands a slapping body shot.
Scraps has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Tan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Scraps moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Tan closes the distance and lands a one-two. Tan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

It looks like Jose Scraps has been cut. Tan misses with a two punch combination.

and Tan counters with a three punch combo that has Scraps backing up. Scraps nods at Tan to acknowledge the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Scraps fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Tan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tan with a hook. A left and a right from Tan both land. Nice combination. Tan is breathing heavily. Tan throws a series of punches but Scraps moves out of range. Scraps swings and misses with a shot to the body and Tan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Scraps throws a jab but it's blocked by Tan. Scraps tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Scraps somewhat. Horrible takedown by Scraps or perhaps it was just good defense by Tan which made him look bad. Tan throws a front kick aimed at Scraps's knee but Scraps avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick by Tan misses and Scraps counters with a body kick. No luck for Scraps with that takedown attempt. Tan is working the combinations to good effect here. Scraps looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Scraps darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Scraps is taking a breather. Tan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Tan is trying to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scraps is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Scraps stands up and beckons Tan to join him on the feet. Scraps swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Scraps looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Tan! Scraps cracks Tan with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
UBC Tan dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jose Scraps's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Scraps tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tan swivels and escapes. Scraps scores with a leg kick.
UBC Tan is winning the standup battle so far. Tan misses with a body kick. Tan throws a right hand that Scraps ducks under and follows up with a left that Scraps also avoids with ease. Scraps feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Scraps pushes down on Tan's leg and manages to get into half guard. Scraps not doing much here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Scraps frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scraps lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Tan hang on? Scraps controlling from mount. A nice elbow there by Scraps. Scraps lands with some strikes. Scraps is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tan can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scraps controlling from the full mount. Scraps get's back to his feet. Tan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Scraps. UBC Tan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Scraps dives in and grabs Tan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tan pushes down on Scraps's head and hops out. UBC Tan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Scraps. Scraps has managed to clinch.
Scraps's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Scraps tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tan swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tan throws a sloppy body shot
and Scraps counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tan won't be happy with that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Scraps has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Tan is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Scraps yanks on the arm and Tan is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Scraps.
