Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Fernandes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Lock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander Fernandes looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The fight stays on the outside here - Fernandes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fernandes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lock swivels and escapes.

Lock tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Lock counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fernandes won't be happy with that.

Lock wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fernandes keeps working.
Lock swings around for an armbar but Fernandes sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Lock's guard.
Fernandes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lock on the ground.

Lock looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Lock is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lock is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fernandes doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lock.
Lock is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fernandes is just riding it out for now. Lock eventually gives up the hold.
Fernandes is breathing heavily.

Lock is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Lock seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fernandes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lucas Lock dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lock doesn't succeed with the takedown
so Fernandes counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fernandes drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lock looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lock looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lock!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lock is working to tighten is grip on Fernandes's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Fernandes has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Lock is really squeezing tight and eventually Fernandes passes out! Lock breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
