The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bertowzki gets caught flat footed, as Shogun shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bertowzki pulls Shogun in close to prevent any damage.
Bertowzki is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Shogun is stalling in the full guard.
Shogun wants to stand but Bertowzki has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Shogun postures up.
Shogun wanted to stand there but Bertowzki had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bertowzki has control of Shogun's left arm, preventing Shogun from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bertowzki is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Shogun frees his head nicely. Oh but Bertowzki has switched to an armbar! Shogun is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
