Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timothy Mcgee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcgee comes to the cage accompanied by McGee. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcgee avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mcgee gets a takedown into half guard. Johnson trying to control from the bottom.
Mcgee working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Johnson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Johnson keeps control of the position for the meantime. Mcgee wants to take a breather but Johnson is having none of it. Mcgee seems to be working for a kimura but Johnson defends the submission attempt. Johnson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mcgee pulls his head out easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcgee is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mcgee trying to pass the guard but Johnson defending well. Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Johnson connects with a body shot. Johnson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mcgee looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Mcgee throws a big right hand that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcgee wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mcgee trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Mcgee content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Johnson wants to stand but Mcgee is controlling the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Mcgee moves away from the strike by Johnson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Johnson wants it to stay on the feet. Johnson misses with a low kick.
No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mcgee misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Johnson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mcgee scores with a takedown into Johnson's guard. Johnson wants to stand up but Mcgee is controlling him. Mcgee drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mcgee jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Mcgee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mcgee drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Johnson dives on top into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson is looking to stand up but Mcgee won't let him. Mcgee wriggles free and stands up. Nice takedown defense from Johnson. No joy for Mcgee on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timothy Mcgee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Mcgee tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mcgee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mcgee lands a head kick. Johnson smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Mcgee fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Mcgee punishes Johnson's body with a nice straight punch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Timothy Mcgee dominated that round. That's time! Mcgee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Mcgee bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The ground and pound from Mcgee seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Mcgee working the head with strikes. Mcgee has an Americana. Johnson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mcgee is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mcgee hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
