Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Donovan McCall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Axe Murderer! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCall shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Murderer is trying to defend but McCall finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. McCall is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. McCall postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Murderer to stand up. Murderer throws out a leg kick but McCall moves out of range and Murderer only half commits. McCall avoids the head kick by Murderer.
McCall lands a big head kick that sends Murderer tumbling to the mat! McCall takes a step backwards and waves Murderer back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Murderer is rocked!
It looks like Axe Murderer has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Murderer throws a head kick that misses. Murderer misses with a body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murderer moves out of range of the body kick from McCall.
An inside leg kick lands from McCall. McCall fails with a takedown attempt from distance. McCall shoots in for a takedown but Murderer shows good takedown defense. McCall has managed to clinch.
McCall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. McCall shoots in but Murderer avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donovan McCall. That's going to take a lot out of him. McCall moves into the clinch. McCall can't get the takedown.

Murderer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McCall. McCall is breathing heavily. Murderer feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to McCall's calf. Good work by McCall as he checks the leg kick. Murderer lands a nice leg kick that just misses McCall's sensitive parts. A telegraphed takedown attempt from McCall is defended easily by Murderer. Murderer throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Murderer throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by McCall. Murderer tries a low kick but McCall avoids it. McCall drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McCall controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murderer stops McCall from passing to mount. McCall trying to control the action but Murderer is working from the bottom. McCall decides to stand back up. McCall steps back and let's Murderer get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Murderer tries to land a leg kick but McCall saw it coming and moves away.
Murderer throws a leg kick that is checked and McCall counters by moving into the clinch. McCall tries for a takedown. No joy.
McCall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Murderer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick misses from Murderer. McCall shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. McCall sitting and controlling from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Donovan McCall dominated that round. The cut man is working on Axe Murderer's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
McCall forces Murderer back against the cage and clinches. McCall is working for takedown but Murderer is calmly controlling the position for now. McCall drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Murderer is trying to break the clinch but McCall has him pressed against the cage. Murderer misses with the head strike.

McCall drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McCall tries to score with some ground and pound. Murderer controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Murderer seems a little lost for a moment, as McCall dominates the positioning.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCall tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. McCall advances to mount. Murderer is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McCall looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Murderer avoids a series of strikes thrown by McCall.
McCall throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. McCall looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. McCall takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Murderer tries to reverse the position but McCall maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCall looking to finish with strikes here!

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. McCall controlling the position easily from mount. McCall trying to control but Murderer is having none of it. McCall prevents Murderer from getting the reversal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Donovan McCall dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Axe Murderer's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
McCall rushes Murderer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Murderer tries to circle away but McCall has him pinned against the cage. McCall prevents Murderer from breaking the clinch. McCall blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Murderer can't break the clinch.

A head kick misses from McCall. McCall clinches up against the cage. McCall jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Murderer walks away with a smile on his face. McCall gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Murderer tries to score with a low kick but McCall moves his leg out of the way. Murderer misses with a body kick. Murderer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murderer throws a body kick that misses. Murderer stuffs the takedown. Murderer throws a head kick that half lands.
McCall on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Murderer. Murderer obviously looking to wear him down.
Murderer throws a body kick the misses and McCall counters by moving into the clinch. Murderer tries to circle away but McCall has him pinned against the cage. Murderer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

McCall fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donovan McCall. That's going to take a lot out of him. McCall shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Murderer's guard. McCall is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. McCall working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. McCall passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McCall trying to pass the guard but Murderer defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McCall seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. McCall is looking to pass Murderer's guard but actually Murderer recovers to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCall missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Murderer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McCall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. McCall trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. McCall's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. McCall stands up and waves to Murderer to follow him. Murderer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Murderer looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Axe Murderer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McCall fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Murderer, pushing him back against the cage. McCall leaning against his opponent.
McCall has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Murderer uses from the top position. McCall working a defensive guard here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that's the end of the fight! Donovan McCall showed his dominance in that final round. Well McCall has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
