Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evron Haim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Freese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freese has chosen Mosh as his entrance music. Louis Freese acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freese misses with a two punch combination.
Some wild striking there from Freese.

Haim shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Haim seems to be looking for submissions.

Haim is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Freese doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Haim.

It looks like Evron Haim has been cut.
Freese rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Haim moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Haim displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Freese throws out the jab.

Freese drops Haim with a left and a right! Oh, Haim is hurt - Freese dives into side control looking to finish!

Freese rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Haim moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Haim changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Freese looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Haim drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Freese dives on top into guard.
Freese must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Freese. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Freese can do anything to dispel that myth.
Haim wants to lay and pray for a moment but Freese keeps working.

Louis Freese seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Freese swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Haim throws a hook but Freese avoids it easily.
Haim lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Haim.

Freese cracks Haim with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Haim is working Freese over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Freese takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Haim has gone for a leg lock! Freese slips out almost immediately though and dives into Haim's guard.

Haim is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Freese is aware though and is defending well.
Freese thows a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Freese trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Freese throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Haim works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Freese wants to get up but he can't break Haim's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Freese content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Haim has locked up a guillotine! Haim's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Freese is holding on here and Haim must be using up a lot of energy. Freese has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Haim gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
