The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dowda slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Mike de Jong has been cut.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts de Jong, as that shot connected.
de Jong takes a swing at Dowda's ribcage but misses.
Dowda throws the left hand but de Jong avoids the punch easily.
de Jong throws a hook to the side of Dowda's head but Dowda sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
de Jong tries to clinch there but Dowda circles away.
de Jong throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dowda.
Dowda clinches with his opponent.

Dowda has de Jong pressed against the ropes, preventing de Jong from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Dowda lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
