Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drandt Bavis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roscoe Conwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bavis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is When I'm Gone. Conwell has chosen David Bowie ft David Guetta - Just For One Day (Heroes) as his entrance music. Drandt Bavis could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Roscoe Conwell's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Drandt Bavis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roscoe Conwell! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bavis misses with a low kick.
Bavis misses with an attempted mid kick.
Bavis thows a body shot but no joy. A big left from Conwell misses. Bavis throws a wild body kick that Conwell sees coming a mile off. Bavis throws a leg kick but Conwell sees it coming and checks it nicely. Bavis stuffs the takedown. Bavis throws a leg kick but Conwell moved away. Bavis misses with a low kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bavis wants to land a leg kick but Conwell is out of range. Bavis takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. A chopping leg kick lands by Conwell.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bavis lands a lovely overhand right. Bavis lands a nice leg kick that just misses Conwell's sensitive parts. Bavis throws a wild body kick that Conwell sees coming a mile off. Bavis misses with a head kick.
Conwell dives in and grabs Bavis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bavis pushes down on Conwell's head and hops out. A slapping leg kick lands for Bavis.
A looping hook to the body misses from Conwell. Bavis does a little dance to reset his feet. Bavis tries to bum rush Conwell with a series of wild strikes but Conwell uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A low kick from Bavis is predictable there and Conwell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bavis blocks a low kick nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Conwell chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bavis can pounce on him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Conwell. Drandt Bavis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roscoe Conwell. Bavis slips a straight right by Conwell. Bavis throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Bavis throws a head kick that misses and Conwell counters with a nice uppercut. Conwell looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Conwell is trying to control. Bavis wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Conwell missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Conwell wants to control but Bavis is keeping him busy. Conwell thows a huge punch but Bavis dodges it nicely.

Conwell prevents Bavis from improving his position. Conwell is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bavis! Conwell looking to control and managing it successfully. Conwell scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Bavis?

Bavis is trying to get back to his feet but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roscoe Conwell dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A low kick from Conwell is predictable there and Bavis counters with a good low kick that Conwell was not able to check. Bavis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Conwell. Bavis avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Conwell tries to close the distance and clinch but Bavis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A big left from Conwell misses. Conwell thows a leg kick but Bavis checks it and Bavis counters with a nice leg kick. Bavis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bavis dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Conwell. That did some damage! Conwell walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bavis checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conwell tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bavis is able to avoid easily. A low kick from Bavis misses and Conwell counters with a leg kick. Bavis does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Bavis throws a shot from downtown. Conwell moves away and avoids it. Bavis checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Conwell connects with a body shot. Bavis lands with a thumping leg kick.

Bavis thows a leg kick but Conwell checks it and Conwell counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Conwell connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Conwell checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Bavis chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Conwell can pounce on him.
Conwell with a nice cross. Conwell feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Conwell seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Conwell trying to control but Bavis is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conwell cracks Bavis with a solid left hand. Bavis wants to stand up but Conwell is controlling him. Conwell is looking to work some ground and pound but Bavis has wrist control. Bavis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Conwell is looking to take a break and control but Bavis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Conwell trying to pass the guard but Bavis defending well. Roscoe Conwell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Conwell moves out of range of the leg kick from Bavis. Conwell tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bavis is able to avoid easily. Bavis throws a nice outside leg kick. Conwell has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Bavis will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Bavis walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Bavis throws a leg kick but Conwell moved away. Bavis turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Drandt Bavis is winning the standup battle so far. Bavis throws a leg kick which misses Conwell's front leg but catches the back leg as Conwell tries to avoid it.

Conwell looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Drandt Bavis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Conwell fails with a takedown attempt. Conwell moves out of range of the body kick. Bavis thows a leg kick but Conwell checks it and Conwell counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Drandt Bavis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A clash of legs there as Conwell blocks the low kick. Bavis slaps away a takedown attempt from Conwell, before circling back to the center of the mat. Drandt Bavis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roscoe Conwell. Bavis jabs at Conwell's body. Conwell checks a leg kick nicely. Bavis looking to land some kicks to the body here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Conwell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bavis was covering up waiting for the punch and Conwell finishes the takedown easily into guard. Bavis tries to land a sweep but no joy. Roscoe Conwell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bavis is working hard here to advance position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bavis is controlling Conwell's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Conwell slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Roscoe Conwell has got the better of the ground game so far. Conwell wants to pass the guard but Bavis is keeping the position. Bavis trying to keep a closed guard but Conwell is proving a slippery customer.
And that's the end of the fight! Drandt Bavis showed his dominance in that final round. I think Conwell has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
