The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jaminson moves into the clinch. Arlovski looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Arlovski is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Jaminson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Arlovski's efforts to push away. Jaminson lands a body shot in the clinch.

Jaminson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Arlovski looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jaminson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jaminson wants to control but Arlovski is keeping him busy. Jaminson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Arlovski down.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Jaminson stands up and we're back to a striking position. Jaminson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Arlovski backs up against the ropes.

Arlovski stands and steps away. Jaminson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Jaminson rushes Arlovski and presses him up against the ropes. Jaminson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Arlovski pulls his leg out and moves away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jaminson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Jaminson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Arlovski wants to stand and escape but Jaminson is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arlovski tries to circle away but Jaminson has him pinned against the ropes. Jaminson is trying to trip Arlovski. He has hold of a leg but Arlovski is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jaminson persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Dirk Jaminson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jaminson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jaminson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Jaminson trying to control the position from guard on top but Arlovski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jaminson is really dominating this fight. Arlovski wants to hold on but Jaminson pushes him away. Arlovski is controlling an arm, preventing Jaminson from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Arlovski is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Jaminson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Jaminson looking for a guillotine from mount but Arlovski is having none of it. Arlovski wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee warns Arlovski that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Jaminson has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Arlovski's face.

Jaminson wants to control but Arlovski is keeping him busy. Jaminson just content to control the position. Jaminson has knee on belly and moves into mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Arlovski is just holding on here. Jaminson manages to take his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arlovski trying to control the hands but Jaminson breaks the grip. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Jaminson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Arlovski has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jaminson has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Jaminson has good solid back control here. Jaminson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jaminson has Arlovski flattened out and is raining down punches. Jaminson struggling to keep hold of the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Jaminson's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Jaminson.
Jaminson has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Arlovski's body.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Dirk Jaminson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Jaminson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Arlovski to the mat! Arlovski manages to get full guard. Jaminson looking to pass the guard. Arlovski is trying to control the position but Jaminson postures up. Andrei Arlovski has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dirk Jaminson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jaminson trying to control the position from guard on top but Arlovski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
