Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Haminall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haminall comes to the cage accompanied by The Sound of Silence by Simon & Garfunkle. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steve Richards!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haminall is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Richards.
Haminall throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Richards sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Haminall shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Richards manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Haminall trying to control the position from guard on top but Richards is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Haminall prevents Richards from getting back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Haminall distracts Richards with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Richards wants to stand and escape but Haminall is having none of it.
Richards has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Haminall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Haminall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Richards swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Haminall prevents Richards from getting back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Richards has momentary wrist control but Haminall slips an elbow through the middle.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Richards is on top in guard.
Richards wants to control from the top but Haminall keeps moving.

Haminall has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Haminall manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Richards manages to get himself to full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
