Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alvaro De Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peppy LaPue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peppy LaPue is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Silva throws a sloppy head kick and LaPue moves out of range easily.
De Silva tries for a takedown but LaPue sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
LaPue circles away from the clinch attempt.
LaPue misses with a body kick.
LaPue leaves De Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
LaPue tries a head kick but it misses.

LaPue manages to break the clinch.
LaPue stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and LaPue wants it to stay on the feet.

LaPue stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

De Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The ground and pound from De Silva seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
LaPue wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De Silva is looking to take a break and control but LaPue is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
LaPue really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Peppy LaPue dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

LaPue throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck De Silva on the side of the head.

Peppy LaPue showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
