Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between retreat walshy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ferdek Kiepski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). retreat walshy could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ferdek Kiepski's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, retreat walshy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ferdek Kiepski!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

walshy gets caught flat footed, as Kiepski shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
walshy pulls Kiepski in close to prevent any damage.
Kiepski has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of walshy is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
walshy doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
walshy wants to sweep but no luck.
walshy working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kiepski.
walshy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kiepski trying to control the position from guard on top but walshy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kiepski looking to sit in guard and control but walshy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

walshy keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kiepski's head.
walshy postures up in Kiepski's guard and throws a big left but Kiepski blocks it.
Kiepski is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

walshy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and walshy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
walshy looking to pass the guard.

Kiepski had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. walshy defends it easily.
Kiepski avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kiepski tries to land a sweep but no joy.

walshy tries to free his leg and advance position but Kiepski is retaining full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
walshy throws the kick towards the body but Kiepski avoids it.

Kiepski gets a takedown into half guard.
Kiepski controlling the action here.
walshy is not content to let Kiepski control the position.

walshy is looking for a sweep. Kiepski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kiepski wants to stand up but walshy has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Still in half guard, Kiepski seems content to control.
Kiepski looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kiepski is looking for a kimura but walshy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kiepski to get the leverage.
walshy is breathing heavily.
Kiepski lands with a punch from half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ferdek Kiepski dominated that round.

Kiepski defends well against a solid takedown attempt from walshy.
walshy fails to land the takedown.
Kiepski tries to clinch but walshy moves out of range.
walshy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kiepski swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kiepski shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kiepski wants to lay and pray for a moment but walshy keeps working.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

walshy gets full guard.
walshy looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Kiepski throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Kiepski drops back, looking for a kneebar! walshy looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. walshy looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from walshy!

walshy working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Kiepski manages to work his way to half guard, despite walshy's best efforts.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kiepski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

walshy seems to be working for a kimura but Kiepski defends the submission attempt.
Kiepski trying to control from the bottom.

walshy wants to work for an arm triangle but Kiepski is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

walshy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kiepski's head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Kiepski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. walshy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kiepski has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Kiepski cracks walshy with a good jab.

Kiepski rushes walshy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kiepski decides to pull guard.
walshy working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Ferdek Kiepski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


A combination from Kiepski does no damage.
Kiepski tries to close the distance and clinch but walshy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kiepski shoots for a takedown but walshy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ferdek Kiepski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and walshy counters with a single leg into guard. Kiepski didn't expect that.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

walshy thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Well Kiepski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
