Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ron Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenneth Worthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wood comes to the cage accompanied by Walk by Pantera. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ron Wood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kenneth Worthy! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Wood as Worthy shoots in. Wood swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Worthy fails to land the takedown. Wood forces Worthy back against the cage and clinches. Worthy is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Wood pulls him back up using the underhooks. Ron Wood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenneth Worthy. Worthy fails to pull guard.
Wood gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Worthy.
Worthy tries to pull guard but Wood holds him up against the cage and eventually Worthy drops back down to his feet.
Worthy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wood walks away with a smile on his face. Worthy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Wood scores with a takedown into Worthy's guard. Worthy is working an open guard so Wood takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Nice takedown defense from Wood. No joy for Worthy on that attempt. Ron Wood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Worthy looks gassed! Wood closes the distance and clinches. Worthy stalling in the clinch but Wood improves position. Wood connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Kenneth Worthy has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Worthy wants to stall.

Worthy wants to get back to striking at distance but Wood won't allow it.
Worthy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Wood is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Worthy can't fight it off and eventually Wood manages to take the fight to the floor. Worthy looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Wood stands and steps away. Worthy gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Wood shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Wood lands with a punch from half guard. Wood stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wood has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Wood is nestled in close to Worthy, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Worthy is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Wood jumps into side control! Wood controls the position. Worthy is trying to control Wood's posture but Wood avoids it. Wood working the ground and pound. Worthy is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Wood creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Wood decides to take the fight back to the feet. Wood looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Worthy! A nice elbow there by Wood.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wood controlling his opponent. Wood scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Worthy?
Worthy tries to hold on but Wood pushes him away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wood controlling from the full mount. Wood looking to isolate an arm here. Worthy doesn't see it coming and as Wood extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Wood!
