Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jethro Pugh Rockefeller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Pall! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pall throws a head kick that misses. Rockefeller throws a chopping leg kick but Pall manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Pall takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Rockefeller stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rockefeller wants it to stay on the feet. Pall scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Rockefeller is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pall's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pall's back! Rockefeller has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Pall has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Pall wants to escape the position.
Pall is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Rockefeller gets his way!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rockefeller is looking for the choke from the back position but Pall is controlling his hands well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pall defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.

Pall knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Pall for a finish. Rockefeller working for a choke but Pall is defending well. That's two minutes gone in the round. Pall is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it. Jethro Pugh Rockefeller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pall feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Pall avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Rockefeller escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pall gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rockefeller is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pall wants to control from the top but Rockefeller keeps moving. Pall is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Rockefeller working for a triangle but Pall defends it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rockefeller looking for a guillotine here but Pall defends easily.

Jethro Pugh Rockefeller dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Rockefeller pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Pall doesn't manage to clinch there - Rockefeller circles away.
Rockefeller lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pall circles away quickly and effectively. A slow jab from Rockefeller misses its intended target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rockefeller throws a leg kick but Pall checks it. A head kick by Pall misses and Rockefeller counters with a low kick, right behind Pall 's knee. Pall is breathing heavily. Rockefeller throws a nice inside leg kick. Pall takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A kick lands to the mid section there for Rockefeller. A slapping leg kick lands for Rockefeller.

Jon Pall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rockefeller throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Rockefeller fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pall. Jethro Pugh Rockefeller is winning the standup battle so far. Pall takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rockefeller lands with a nice body kick. Pall's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Rockefeller lands a head kick!

Rockefeller fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pall manages to avoid it. Rockefeller clobbers Pall with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Pall checks a leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rockefeller scores with a jab to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rockefeller.
Rockefeller bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Rockefeller works Pall's body with a nice hook. Rockefeller turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Rockefeller lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rockefeller fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. An inside leg kick from Rockefeller misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jethro Pugh Rockefeller dominated that second round. That's time! Rockefeller's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Rockefeller looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Rockefeller with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Pall takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Rockefeller throws a right and a left that Pall avoids nicely. Rockefeller lands with a thumping leg kick.
Rockefeller throws a wild body kick that Pall sees coming a mile off. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rockefeller throws a head kick that Pall semi-blocks.
Rockefeller throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rockefeller plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Pall uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rockefeller. Rockefeller takes a swing at Pall's ribcage but misses. Pall ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Rockefeller throws a nice inside leg kick. Rockefeller misses with a hook. Pall ducked under it nicely. Rockefeller scores with a spinning back kick!

Rockefeller fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Jethro Pugh Rockefeller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A solid leg kick lands there for Rockefeller.
Rockefeller with a jab. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pall takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Jethro Pugh Rockefeller is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Rockefeller moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Rockefeller goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Rockefeller connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Pall misses with an uppercut. Rockefeller saw that one coming. Rockefeller lets loose with a powerful body kick. Pall will feel that in the morning. Rockefeller ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rockefeller feints and then cracks Pall's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pall down. An inside leg kick lands from Rockefeller. Rockefeller throws a hook but Pall avoids it easily. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Rockefeller - that will leave a mark!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rockefeller throws a lazy right hand but Pall sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Pall on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rockefeller. Rockefeller obviously looking to wear him down.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pall keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jon Pall has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rockefeller lands a head kick!
And that's the end of the fight! Jethro Pugh Rockefeller showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rockefeller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
