The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sherlock throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sherlock uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dugald.
Sherlock throws a nice looking combination but Dugald bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Dugald displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sherlock.

Dugald feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dugald drops back looking for a leg! Sherlock is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sherlock manages to kick Dugald off! Dugald jumps back into Sherlock's guard.

Dugald stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sherlock swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dugald drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dugald jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sherlock takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
