Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Cook! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Day misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cook drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cook looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Cook misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Day struggling a bit here. Day is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cook's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Cook missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Cook looks gassed! Day wants to control but Cook is keeping busy.
Day slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Day darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Cook strikes from the bottom but Day passes into mount!
Day controlling the position easily from mount. Day is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Cook is in real trouble.
Day has the hooks in. Cook is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Day is looking to control Cook but Cook is wriggling around and keeping busy. Day biding his time, controlling Cook. Day tries to keep control of the position but Cook is staying busy. Cook tries to escape but Day has the hooks in and won't let him break free. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Day has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Cook's body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Day closes the distance and clinches. A head punch blocked on the inside by Cook. Day drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Day jumps guard and drags Cook to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Day is adopting a defensive guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cook wants to control from the top but Day keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cook slips nicely into half guard. Cook is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Day has managed to free his arm - good work. Cook is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Day to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Day pushes Cook off and gets back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Day tries to clinch but Cook is having none of it. Cook blocks a jab. Day wants to clinch up but Cook keeps it at a distance. Day feints and as Cook raises his hands in defense, Day changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Cook throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Day escapes and throws Cook's legs to the side, diving into side control! Day is looking to take a break and control but Cook is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cook tries to buck Day off but Day is having none of it. Cook is not content to let Day control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cook tries to get back to half guard but can't. Day wants to stand but Cook has his arm trapped.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Day throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Day shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Day showed some decent athleticism there. Kelvin Day overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Day wants to take a breather but Cook is having none of it. Cook trying to control here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cook is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Cook has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Day is working away from the top position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Day tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cook knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Cook wants to get back to full guard but Day has mounted him! Day get's back to his feet. Day tries to clinch up but Cook circles away and keeps his distance. Cook just misses with a punch to the body.
Cook has his takedown stuffed and Day counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Day.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cook looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Day has picked Cook up and slammed him! Cook can't keep hold of the triangle and Day manages to pass to side control! Day taking a breather here. Cook is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Cook tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Day presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Cook is trying to reverse the position but instead Day has taken his back - oops!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cook tries to roll but Day sticks to his back.
Kelvin Day is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Cook is keeping busy.
Cook wants to escape the position but for the time being he's just trying to control the pace. Cook looking very determined here, making life difficult for Day.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cook tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Cook wants to hold on but Day pushes him away. Cook throws a strike but has given up his back in the process.

Mike Cook has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Day controlling the position well here. Cook rolled but Day kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Day has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
