Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adam Arandaa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Todd Moreau! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arandaa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Arandaa misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Moreau has Arandaa up against the cage in a clinch.
Moreau is pressed up against the cage. Arandaa has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Moreau down to the mat. Moreau avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Moreau is looking to clinch. Moreau fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Arandaa needs to keep his hands up - Moreau had a free shot at his head there. Moreau avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Arandaa misses with a takedown attempt - Moreau sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Arandaa connects with a good right hand that stumbles Moreau. Moreau circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Moreau shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Arandaa counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Arandaa trying to control from half guard but Moreau is working away. Moreau trying to control but Arandaa postures up.
Moreau kicks off Arandaa and gets to his feet. Moreau throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Moreau avoids the head kick by Arandaa.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arandaa avoids the head kick by Moreau.
Moreau misses with a head kick.
Moreau shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Arandaa but Arandaa pushes him off and we're back to square one. Moreau closes the distance and clinches. Moreau breaks from the clinch.
Moreau is looking to clinch but Arandaa is avoiding it.
Arandaa tries to clinch but Moreau is having none of it. Arandaa has his takedown stuffed and Moreau counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam Arandaa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Arandaa is breathing heavily. Moreau landing with the ground and pound. Moreau works over Arandaa with some ground and pound from guard. Arandaa keeping full guard, as Moreau tries to pass. Moreau preventing the sweep. Moreau must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Moreau wants to pass the guard but Arandaa is keeping the position. Arandaa is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Moreau rolls with it to try and escape but Arandaa cranks on the arm and Moreau is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
