Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between luis rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and no game (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). rivera comes to the cage accompanied by bleed it out. luis rivera has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, luis rivera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, no game!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

game is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in rivera's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
rivera looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
game trying to control the pace.

game wants to stand up but rivera has a hold of him and won't allow it.
rivera might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
rivera wants to improve his position but game is controlling well.

game is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
rivera seems a little lost for a moment, as game dominates the positioning.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
A lull in the action here as game stalls from top position.

game has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

game moves into the clinch.
game goes for a takedown in the clinch but rivera prevents it.
rivera pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

rivera wants to break the clinch but can't.
game works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
game jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as rivera walks away with a smile on his face. game gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
rivera stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and rivera wants it to stay on the feet.
luis rivera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of no game.
game closes the distance and clinches up with rivera, looking for a takedown. game pushes rivera against the cage but rivera circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

game drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
game wants to control but rivera is keeping him busy.
rivera avoids any damage from the ground and pound of game.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with game in particular looking to stall.

game is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

rivera tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but game wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
game misses with the ground and pound.
game is trying to move to mount but rivera reverses beautifully and ends up in game's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
game avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
rivera throws a big right hand that misses.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

game fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. rivera sprawls well initially but game persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
game is trying to control. rivera wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

game misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
game wants to clinch up but rivera keeps it at a distance.
game fails in his attempt to clinch.
rivera slaps away a takedown attempt from game, before circling back to the center of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

rivera gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows game to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Well game has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
