Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Weed gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Weed pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Peters takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Peters tries to land a knee to the head but Weed blocks with his arms.

The referee is keeping an eye on Weed - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Peters takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Weed moves into range and clinches up with Peters.
Weed breaks from the clinch.
Weed lands with a nice body punch.

A looping hook to the body misses from Weed. Peters does a little dance to reset his feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Peters looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Peters is trying desperately to land a takedown but Weed is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Peters.

Peters shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Weed as he jumps to the side.
Weed is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Jonathan Weed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Peters ducks right into an uppercut from Weed.
Weed closes the distance and clinches.
Weed lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Peters's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Weed's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Weed has closed the distance and engaged Peters in a clinch.

Weed lands with a right to the head.
Weed creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Peters! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Weed.
